FrSky has released a new S.BUS and CPPM receiver – the FrSky XSR. It’s like the FrSky X4RSB full duplex telemetry receiver. The new XSR is physically smaller and lighter than the X4RSB, so it will be more suitable for FPV racing copters.
Specification:
-
Dimensions: 26×19.2x5mm
-
Weight: 3.8g
-
1-16 S.BUS channels
-
1-8 CPPM channels
-
Operating voltage: 4-10V
-
Operation current: 100mA
The new receiver is compatible with the FrSky X-Series Module, X9D, X9DP, X9E, X12S in D16 mode. It will perfectly work with your Taranis transmitter, but if you have an upgraded Turnigy 9X with the FrSky D-Series module, like me, you will not be able to use that one. The price of the FrSky XSR is a bit higher than the X4RSB – 31.99$ and should be available soon.
I was thinking of upgrading my 9x to the frsky module, does that DJT receivers like the d8r-ii plus support connecting to the flight controller like the Naze32 with single wire connection?
Hi Chris, yes. But I will choose the smaller D4R-II receiver instead of the D8R-II Plus. With the CPPM firmware flashed, they are basically the same.
