Previously I have tested the LDPower FR2204-2300kv motors and currently I am flying my SG Acro quadcopter with these. Now it is time to make a short review about the LDPower FR2206 1900kv “For Racing” motor.

Everything I said about the FR2204 2300kv version is true for the FR2206 1900kv motor. The only difference is that the FR2206 is bigger. Mounting holes have the same 19x16mm pattern, wires are 70mm long and manufacturing quality is as good as on the little 2204 motor.
Thrust test results: I have used the KISS24A Race ESC and the FVT LittleBee 20A ESC as well as 3S, 4S and 6S LiPo battery. I got a bit better results with the LittleBee ESC on 3S and 4S, but only have managed to test the motor with 6S LiPo with the KISS24A ESC, cause the LittleBee 20A is not 6S capable.

As usual I have made a test at 50% throttle for one minute using the 6S LiPo and the motor was perfectly cool – about 40° C. I got no sync issues with the KISS24A on 6S, but I should mention that I have added an extra 35V capacitor on it.

As I though the 2206 1900kv is better for 250-280mm quads, because it performs better with 6” propellers. For those of you, who love flying on 6S LiPo it will be just fine with 5” prop too 😀 Overall it is as great as the little 2204 motor, just for bigger copters.
